I liked the look of a polo shirt on their Website but could'nt decide which size to get so I took a trip out to one of their stores at Meadowhall, Sheffield, and eventually managed to locate the said polo shirt amongst the dimly lit store.

What's with the near dark lighting in their store? Has anyone else been to a Hollister shop and rummaged around in dark to find what they're looking for?

They also gave me a smart looking bag to put my new purchase in and it had a pic of a bare male torso on it and just about to reveal everything else. I only realized this after walking around for awhile so gave the bag to my wife to carry around.

Is Hollister a gay shop?

It's the offensive fragrance they pump out the shop front that ****s me off. There's an Abercrombie (same thing) store in one of the malls I visit often and I have to hold my breath within 50ft of it.

No not gay but its worn by people in their late teens/early 20's

Normally associated with the (male part) heads or smug people.

nothing quite says sheep like paying £35 for a £5 polo with Hollister Spray painted over it...

but thats just my opinion.

Do they still only hire the models and use them as some sorta guide to what people should like, went in their once and had dirty looks from the staff as i wasn't that special look.
My none stylish hair or none £100 designer trousers didn't seem to cut it... :(

i think the cargo, cats and polo shirt may have been a clue to my style, is it comfortable? if yes then it get worn.

I'm never going in a Hollister shop then :p.

I walked past the Hollister shop in the Trafford Centre so many times, just thinking it was a restaurant. :)

Hollister = Awesome :)

But then I am 19. The bags, however, rather annoy me. Why can't they have nearly naked wimminz? :(

There is a reason for that, they light the clothing they want you to buy, often the clothes on the mannequin are out of stock so it makes you want it and return later.

They are also known to hire staff from modelling agency. All their staff have to be good looking.

Why anyone would buy clothes in the dark is beyond me. American Eagle is where its at. I did notice that old navy went through a phase where all there clothes we worse quality than primark, but they seem to have bounced back.
