anybody every signed up and got a account to buy and sell shares to make money online? is it worth it to make some money? I heard TD waterhouse is good to go with as well respected. But is it really worth it. an anybody give any advice? cheers

At first yes, don't give up though and make sure you do thorough research.

I would say making money from shares is pretty difficult. People tend to hold falling shares in the vain hope that they will make back their losses. You have to do a lot of research, and be ultra disciplined. It can be done, but it's really, really hard to get right.
If you want an alternative, then take a look at the world of domaining (domain name investing). You can buy a domain cheaply, and sell it for a healthy profit if you get it right. Do your homework and don't get carried away buying names though.
