What is your combined gas and elec bill PER MONTH, and how many units of electricity do you use per month?

A poll would also be good.

Reason I ask, is I think that we use way too much elec. We use about on average 600kWh per month or about 1800kWh per quarter. No I don't grow herbs in the loft either.

Apparently average use in my area is 827kWh per quarter. We were 1425 kWh!

Electricity - 13 kWh per day or 390 odd a month
Gas - 10 kWh per day or 300 odd a month

Total - 690 kWh (during summer, climbs during winter obviously). 3 bedroom house, 2 people, lots of PC's and electronics, reasonably disciplined and turning things on and off etc.

Last quarter was

£48 elec
£16 gas

no idea on amount, too little to care.

With british gas btw

£40-45pm electric and maybe £15pm on gas averaged for the year. Dont really use the heating until winter so a £10 gas top up can last well over a month in summer.

Should mention that im currently stuck with NIE who charge 14.9p/kWh, will be switching at the first available opportunity.

2 bed flat (1st Floor), 2 adults and the baby, we are paying £60/month direct debit but only using around £50 worth of gas and electricity. Electricity usage for July was 147kWh.

£40 max a month combined....not bad hey. prettty big flat aswell
just make sure to turn everything off when your not using it! your be surprised what you can save.

in the last quarter we used 1 unit of gas and £172 of electricity, no idea how many units that is though.
Circa £58/month on electricity though.

£66 a month for just electric (no gas) and currently in credit.

Use credit gained in summer to help in winter.

Flat is well enough insulated that I turn off all heating from May to Oct.

£110 combined Gas and Electric, but that is offset by the solar panels we have installed so we actually pay nothing, the supplier currently owes us £158.

ouch!

£75 Gas
£75 Elec

per month. Works out in debit after the winter and then sorts itself out in the summer.

4 bed semi with 2 adults, 1 child and 1 baby.

Ive literally just setup the DD for my new place. 2 bed flat with the mrs. £60pm for both gas and electric combined. Does that sound about right?

Yup

Give them actual readings on the first of every month and they can adjust your DD ammount accordingly

I like to pay say £10 more a month than I'm using in gas and electricity, that way at the end of the year, you're usually in credit :)
