Hollister clothing

yes the shop itself is stupid
yes the clothes sizes are for little emo kids

BUT

its pretty good value for pretty well made good quality clothign

What's the point when the design and sizes are geared towards a specific type of person of sexual orientation or emotional direction? :D

The shirts seem to fit me quite well, and i dont think there unreasonably priced (although they have recently increased the prices i have noticed), i found myself buying more stuff from there when quiksilver started to become really chavvy

The reason they keep it dark is to create a "talking point". Bit stupid but hey.

Shop at River Island instead ;)

The clothes fit well and are cheap enough! Pain in the arse to shop in but plenty of clothes from xmas and bday's from the gf and never had anything that I didnt like :)

Only decent A&F store Ive been to is the NY one down the South Street Seaport - its has proper lighting and the music isnt loud or ****

And decent is oh so relative :p

Agreed people buy Hollister thinking they are getting A&F when its nowhere near the same quality - Im amazed how many people are duped by this...

ps3ud0

I have a hoody from both A+F and Hollister. And there is absolutely no difference in quality, if I'd have known they were going to be so similar, I'd have never bought the A+F one.

£30 difference, definitely not worth the mark up. However, they are both very good quality.

Some of their clothes are alright and no more expensive than Rivers or Topman, not too bothered about the dark, that's their style, trying to do something different. Go to the changing rooms if your not sure on the colour, and don't shop there if you don't like it.

People love a good whinge. If it's not your thing, don't go in there just to moan about it!

O RLY?

Have yet to see a pretty person go in there. Generic girls with no TnA and a 'meh' face and as for the guys, don't get me started :o

My god I hate the place!!

the target is not the same as the person who buys it

if you'll read earlier in the thread, i live with one of their managers....

You lot are just weird. It's just a clothes shop, selling mainly decent clothes - quite similar to the sort of stuff you would see in cult or republic. The store design is just part of the brand, e.g surfing.

I went to the one in the Trafford centre, I agree the layout isn't great but there was plenty of range, staff were friendly and it smelt fine! £30 for a t shirt isn't breaking the bank is it? No different to superdry for example.

Superdry is another awful shop/brand, though... :p

The main problem I have with hollister other than it being very generic is the fact that it's mainly designed for people with muscles. I lack muscles and am a bit of a rake really and have no desire to be big and bulky, and hence they look stupid on me, whereas alternative darker stuff like allsaints looks much more at home.

(I know that's entirely down to your own taste, don't shoot me ahaha)
