US PGA Golf :: 11th - 14th August

Jason Day for me, two top-2 finishes in majors this year and a good performance last week.

Also as outsiders I've gone for:
Choi
Jiminez
Garcia
Yang

Bet365, Totesport, Boylesports, Betfred, Victor Chandler, Blue SQ, Paddy Power, Stan James, 888 Sport all going 123456 1/4 odds.

Corals and William Hill, you are a disgrace!

I like David Toms. He's in decent form and won the 2001 US PGA at Atlanta Athletic Club (this years course). Best price is 55-1. Possibly a bit short but still worth a bet.

I had to do Tiger as well at 25-1 despite his issues. Last weeks Bridgestone Invitaitional was basically just a 4 day tune up for this. If he gets his driving accuracy stats up, he will be a force.

Finally, Sergio Garcia is worth a bet at 60-1. He has a reasonable decent record in the US PGA (albeit at different courses). Tied for 2nd in 2008 and tied for 3rd in 2006.

I've also backed a few others as well. Kaymer, Z Johnson, McIlroy, D Johnson, Villegas, Yang, Els, Harrington, Ogilvy, Verplank, Furyk and Mickelson. Possibly TOO many! :p

Good luck chaps.

My bets -

Donald & Fowler to win
Yes for a hole in one during competition
Tiger to miss the cut!!
Anthony Kim, Keggan Bradley and Ryan Moore for top 5 finishes.

Put a few quid on Rory, Day, Adam Scott, Bubba Watson, Yang and Dustin Johnson.

Only £1 or £2 each, im not a big betting fan but now and again on the golf is fun!

All E/W:

Cink (£2),
Day(£2),
Fowler(£2),
Stricker(£2),
Sergio(£2)
Laird(£5).

Total of £30.

Poor old Tiger. He was -3 through 5 holes. He's now +6 through 17 holes!

Sad to see. :(

so my bet for him to miss the cut is looking good!:D

But agreed - sad to see someone who is fighting lots of demons (albeit many of them self inflocted) at the moment and trying to put a brave face on it.

Solid start from Rory. Beautiful golf from Schwartzel so far - he might have been a good bet actually.

God knows why Rory played that shot, was bound to jam his hands on the root of the tree such a risky shot to play on round 1.

If he gets retired I hope I get a refund on my bet :( I just have no idea what he's thinking of after the debacle of trying to play his way out of trouble at the Masters.

looking good so far - Tiger missed the cut and Keggan Bradley shares the lead!!

I could lay Bradley now and make money and be happy OR leave it and I could make more if he finishes top 5.
