Hi guys,

What is your choice of aftershave? I've found loads that smell great but most wear off after 1/2 hours/. The best ones I've found are the following two.

1. CHANEL BLEU DE CHANEL Eau de Toilette

2. Burberry Touch is also very very nice and lasts ages :)

You?

You?

I wear Bleu de Chanel when I'm out and about or Paco Rabanne 1M.

I sometimes wear Armani Code to work, which isn't too strong.

You'll find that most fragrances - particularly mens - only last a couple of hours by design.

The trend in modern designer scents is for fresh, citrusy and aquatic, and the aromachemicals required for those are volatile, so don't hang around.

It's the musky, woody, resiny scents that last ages [see JPG Le Male, Joop Homme, Thierry Mugler A-men etc] and they're not very fashionable in designer fragrances these days - particularly the ones targeted at the younger market in the sunnier seasons.

You can also blame increasingly-restrictive health and safety directives from Europe and the US for this; they force manufacturers to reformulate their fragrances using synthetic substitute chemicals that are purportedly safer but less persistent.

But enough of the mini-moan. I've got about 50 different fragrances, but the one I find myself reaching for most at the moment is Musc Ravageur, by Maurice Roucel for Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle. It's expensive, but it lasts for ages. So I pay more, but I get better stuff. Funny how that works.
