So I bought the following item on ebay:

6 x New Wave Villeroy & Boch Style Coffee Cup & Saucer

Unfortunately I did not notice it said "style" in the description which is my mistake but should the seller really be using brand names in his auction tittle and description to sell fake goods?

FYI they are really poor quality and will probably just go in the bin if they do not accept them back.

Yah as I said my own stupid mistake as I was not paying attention. Just the point I was making was that all the auctions saying "Style" should not be allowed, it seems they are trying to mislead people.

I would not mind so much if they where reasonable quality but these things are terrible.

from time to time you do find bargains on home items on ebay. I bought 4 boxes of 6 schott zwiesel glasses for under 100 pounds:)

slash of guns n roses layed down the quite magnificent guns n roses album 'appetite for destruction' on a replica les paul and to this day has never found a guitar that produces a better sound, so immitation isn't always bad.

however, it often is.

Sorry, it is a very common way of describing items on ebay. I can't say the seller is to blame.

If the seller doesn't accept them back just file an eBay dispute and they will be forced to refund you.

They can't use the Brand name in the title or auction so you can also report them to eBay.

Going through a similar thing at the moment on an iPhone case. Clearly states the brand that it's imitating in the title, but the item was a complete piece of knock off ****.

It wouldn't have bothered me so much if the case actually fitted, but it doesn't :/

People actually buy designer tea cups

wtf

Fool and his money...etc.

If you have to go to ebay to find a deal, you are an idiot, its a free market, its an uncontrollable market and the owners don't care (ebay), they get their money

Best guitarist in the world. Love you :)

That's a completely fair and honest advertisement/description in my opinion.

What would you want him to state?

"WARNING FAKE ITEM" ? Unlikely. :)
