And in the blue corner..

I think we're getting pretty off the subject ;)
To answer this one last question though - DDR2 OCZ Gold was generally OK, DDR3 OCZ Gold I'd avoid at all costs.
As for the difference between the Blu and Grey, I honestly wouldn't know without Googling, unless it's purely the colour.

ugh.. cheers guys - I'll stick with the best deal on ram when I buy & low profile if the cooler demands it:D

What's really baking my noodle is which case to get - I was all set on the 650D then I read the anandtech review:P I'm now leaning towards the silverstone FT02 but it's just.. very expensive :O

The RV02 or FT02 are excellent aircooling cases, so it is what I would suggest.

The white edition of the RV02 is stunning, just purchased it myself and I'm very pleased with it. Same cooling performance as the FT02 but much cheaper.

You can get a black version : the RV02B-EW, but not on OcUK. Looks very nice in white.

I prefer that Raven case design to the others (RV03, RV02).

My old case is White so I really want to move away from that this time. I think I've narrowed it down to the black 600t SE or the black RV02B-EW (FT02 is out the window as it takes me over-budget) but like you say, they aren't available here:P

Also I was doing some more research on the XFX PSU and it appears they have changed their naming scheme for the P1-750B-NLG9 from Black Edition to XXX Pro Edition. The fan is also no longer green so be aware - if you buy this unit it does not look the same as advertised by OCuk amongst others. - still the same Seasonic unit inside though:)

Maybe get a Silver FT02? They are generally cheaper than the black versions by about £45 and it would be a change from the usual white/black you are used to. Stunning looking cases regardless of the colour.

I think they've phased out the Black Edition, stock is very hard to come by. I can recommend the XFX Pro though, great value units.

If I read any more reviews I think my eyes will fall out :p

So - I have finally settled on the RVO2B (or W) - EW:D

My build is now looking like this:

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) £169.99

Silverstone Raven 2 RV02W-EW Evolution Windowed Case - White £155.99

MSI P67A-GD53 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard ** B3 REVISION ** £114.98

XFX 750W Black Edition Modular Power Supply £99.98

Crucial RealSSD M4 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive £95.99

Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £59.99

Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ) £44.99

BeQuiet Dark Rock Advanced CPU Cooler £39.96

Total : £798.37

Mostly I'm done I think - the ram is a placeholder for whatever is on best offer at time of purchase.

The only item I'm still a bit undecided on is the mobo. I keep feeling I should go for a Z68 even though I don't really need the features - doesn't make much sense really I know :)

Ok that's it all ordered and will arrive on Monday:D

Thanks for your help & I'll let you know how I get on.

How did this go? did you like the lovely case? i am still amazed at how good it looks in person. :p

sorry for the late reply!

The case is lovely - very happy I got the white one:) System has been up and running nearly two weeks. As expected the cpu cooler was a bit of pain to fit, but I must have done ok with the tim & fitting as temps are great.

The only cloud on the horizon is the PSU - I seem to have been unlucky & got one with a ticking clicking fan:P The noise varies in level but it's very annoying - pretty similar to this persons:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NGMXrA1PJ4

If I tilt the PC one way it stops, tilt it another way & it gets louder..

I've been hoping it would go away with time but it's not budging so I'm probably going to speak to ocuk tomorrow & see what they say. Never had to RMA anything before:S

PSU ticking hasn't gone away so have got an RMA number.

I'm not planning on going SLI/CF at any stage - do you guys think the Seasonic 660W X-660 will be enough juice for me to dabble with a bit of CPU overclocking as well as provide enough headroom for future gfx upgrades?
