Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Hmmm funny that was brought up because I'm moving all my gaming stuff upstairs and have been looking for a good TV/monitor for games I would prefer to get a TV over a monitor because I'll be recording stuff on my PS3 as much as the 360 and because the PS3 has HDCP you need to play in component which as far as I'm aware most monitors do not support. I know which monitors to buy and not to buy for gaming but TVs not so much, ideas?

GGS Art, Hyv, Marge.

Good come back that last game Hyv with Guy. Got Marge feeling the rage again which is always good, they don't call them magic throws for nothing. ;)

Art probably having second thoughts about putting Viper down for the tourney...

my guy is literally two days old. i didnt even know why i picked him, i guess i love the corner pressures and reset with every character i play since mvc3 wesker. i did better than i thought i would with him, just shows how talented i am;):p:D

i am thinking of actuallly practice a bit with him and see how it goes. i gonna upload some games with him today, my game against marge's dudley was crazy at the end.

oh yeah, i could feel marge's rage on the magic throws from a million mile away as well!

Don't get any of the current Dells, they use IPS which is decent for pretty pictures but well known for input lag.
Looks for a decent TN screen. Something like the Viewsonic vx2268wm has almost none (compared to CRT which has none)

i play on a 24inch dell ips monitor.

could this be why i get input lag with the pc version of ae? but how come it didnt effect the xbox version and mvc3...

The only difference between AE and other games is that yo use a stick for AE right? Have you tried plugging a pad in your PC and seeing if you still get lag?

It could very well be ther reason, but it should act the same for all.
if you had a poll then it come out that most people would say that VGA has less input lag than HDMI. Apparently the signalling method is quicker.
But as far as I know there aren't any tests/results that say that one is better or worse than the other.

Does your dell have a "game mode"?

VGA bypasses all the post processing that HDMI uses so generally you get much less lag. Check that the tv has a VGA port and then pick yourself up a 360 VGA cable.

Fancy some games?

This ones probably for Kreeeee, but if anyone else has an idea feel free to shout. Evo 2011 were using Asus VH236H monitors because they are virtually lagless. They are hard to find in the UK so does anyone know of a good alternative?

Im currently using a Dell 22" via VGA from my 360. I'd like to use HDMI but my Dell doesnt have a connection for it. Also my Dell only goes to 1050p not 1080p.

If you're playing online I wouldn't worry about it.
