The h80 is miles better mate, the h70 is an unreliable piece of crap.
Funny, a year ago when people were choosing between Corsair and CoolIT, people were saying the CoolIT was worse for no reason at all. Ironically now, Corsair now use CoolIT as an OEM and suddenly it all changes...
Personally, there isn't a big difference between the H80 and the H70. The latter is Asetek based and similar to Antec's 920 and the H80 is CoolIT based, both using the same concept and similar designs. I can't see how one can be much better than the other.
However for a list of coolers that are way better: Noctua NH-D14, Thermalright Silver Arrow, Thermalrigh Venomous X, Prolimatech Super Mega, Prolimatech Genesis.
Seems like a lot of aircoolers are better than the LCS systems. I wouldn't mind sticking to watercooling but if aircoolers are cheaper and miles better in performance wise then I may look into it.
I take it that these aircoolers are pretty big? I don't have a huge amount of room in my mini p180...
Ive had a silver arrow and a h70. both are garbage compared to the h80.
I still prefer the Noctua NH-D14.
Doing a great job on my D0
very helpfully antec have decided not to tell anyone the maximum cooler height supported by any of their cases, so if you measure the distance between the motherboard PCB and the side of the case it'll give you a rough idea if the silver arrow will fit. the silver arrow is 163mm tall, so if you have 168mm or more (taking into account the height of the processor), it should fit (obviously the closer it is to 168, the more worried i would get)
If the D14 will fit my mini p180 then the silver arrow will fit right?
It should.
The h80 is miles better mate, the h70 is an unreliable piece of crap.
I've got a P180 with a Noctua NH-D14, fits easily and works brilliantly![]()
