New Incubus Album/Single soon?

If it's like S.C.I.E.N.C.E or Make Yourself then I'd be looking forward to it, but their latest albums have lost all of that creativity and awesomeness and they just sound bland and dull. I live to be proven wrong though. :)

Knew something like that would be amongst the first comments :p

I like all their albums for different reasons, but I do have my favorites :) Their facebook/twitter said that it's something completely different again, So we'll see.
 
After some more digging, apparently Adolescents is a single from their album due to be released in July :)
 
Aye, just having a read up on their website. Well when it's not throwing script errors and making my browser hang. :(

Perhaps being a bit over critical of the boys, Morning View had some corking, albeit considerably more chilled out tracks on it. The lads and I loved them for their use of all sorts of instruments, way out there compositions etc.. So the chilled out stuff was just too far flung from that to work for us. Unsurprisingly most of us are well into our metal now, I blame Incubus lol.

For me though, they peaked with Redefine and Idiot Box. :)
 
I'll be eagerly awaiting their new album, loved every single one so far.

Morning view is probably my favourite album though Make Yourself and Science are both amazing, their stuff is just so varied, from Certain Shade of Green to Aqueous Transmission and Just a Phase, I don't think there's a song of theirs I don't like to be honest.

However I would prefer they went back to the likes Morning View again, though that's probably wishful thinking.

Also quite liked The Wild Trapeze, Boyds solo album, it's got a rather familiar Incubus twang to it though some songs are a touch on the dodgy side, Courage and Control is very good.

I'd love them to go back to a more Make Yourself/Morning View style, but I guess we'll see. Light Grenades was OK, but tbh 'Megalomaniac' is the only song that's really grabbed me of late.

Crow Left Of The Murder was alright, Megalomaniac was good, Southern Girl, Sick Sad Little World and Here In My Room were as well, however the rest of the album was a bit mediocre, I definitely prefer Light Grenades as an album.
 
Surprised this didn't get more responses first time around. I've been listening to it an awful lot and I really like it.
 
Yeah it's alright, not as good as I was hoping tbh. I need to try giving it another run through as it's one of those I listened to once, filed under 'meh' and forgot about.
 
I listened through the once, nothing about it made me want to listen again to be honest. It's a real shame has they have been changing over time but this album is one step too far for me, really didn't like it :(

Pretty much sums it up. Not a single track stood out for me, not a single memorable moment. I'll stick to their earlier work I think, much more to my tastes :).
 
Had this album for a few weeks. Didn't like it at first, but a few tracks have grown on me. In the Company of Wolves is brilliant, and Friends and Lovers is good too.
It's wonderfully produced, however, and sounds fantastic through my headphone setup :)
They are never going to re- produce a SCIENCE kinda record, and you can't really blame them, as it was 14 years ago!
14 years. ARGH
