Limehouse Link Tunnel Cameras

Hi guys,

What's the deal with the limehouse link tunnel cameras?

Are they redspeed?

I was keeping up with the coach in front of me but realised after 3/4 of the way through the tunnel I'd been sat at 40mph the whole way.

Does the coach driver know something I don't? Are the cameras inactive?

The middle camera going eastbound very much flashes people going over. Or at least it did 5 months ago.

Yup, know people done for mid to high 30s.

A colleague got done for doing 35 in there and regularly see them flash at people going through. Probably not what you want to hear, hope you get lucky.

I know a couple of guys who got flashed down there

I'm like a hawk on my speedo whenever i drive through (because that's safe! :rolleyes:

I got flashed through there once. Bricks were consequently ****. Never heard back though.

they may have been turned off now since the average speed limits have been put in place. Not sure, and i wouldnt risk it.

Ive seen the first camera (heading towards london) go off after the average cameras were active. Again, no way to know if the people heard anything

I don't recall any flashes, are you sure the tunnel cameras flash? Thought they would fit non-flashing cameras in tunnels?

Yup they flash, see them go off a couple of times a week. Touch wood not at me yet...

There's a pair when it changes from 40 to 30 before the east india dock tunnel, but there doesn't seem to be any after that (and it's mission impossible to actually DO 30 in that bit without causing a rolling roadblock!), and that's it. Goes up to 40 again, then back down to 30 for the limehouse link.
