Is it standard practise to get every post and thread vetoed on these forums?

I'm new here and can't seem to post or make threads without a message coming up about being checked out?

On some forums it is, you need to have your registration validated by a moderator first, didn't think that happened here though, but I've noticed that your board status is "registered" and not "thug". Personally I'd wait a day or two then contact an admin about the problem.

BTW welcome to the madhouse that is GD. Don't forget to check out Flibbage0's guide to General Discussion. ;)

You need to validate your registration. Check you email or contact a moderator.

Welcome to our little lunatic asylum. :)

never noticed this when i first joined...

soooo.. 'thug' is an upgrade from 'registered' :D

makes me lol

I think it's every post up to around the twenty post mark has to be 'authorised' by the top brass, even if you've verified the email.

The only frustrating part was if you made a post at 9am, and it didn't get approved until 2pm, in a busy sub-section forum, your thread has just been thrown in several pages behind.

First few posts will have to be approved by a moderator to make sure you aren't a spammer. Not sure how many it is, but should stop soon.
