I needed a set of wiper blades for the S and I had previously bought a set of flat blades for the MX-5 from wiperblades.co.uk - £17+ delivery, you can't really go wrong. Or so I thought.

If you go on there and have a look you simply pick your car from the list and choose the kind of blades you want. I chose the wiperblades.co.uk own brand ones as the others seemed ridiculously expensive for what they are.

Next day, they arrived as promised - only they didn't fit the car. Strange, especially as they were the ones picked out by the site! I sent them an email and they apologised and agreed to send out another set.

A few days later, the new set arrived but they were the old style wiper arms. If I had wanted old-style arms I would have used the old arms I have and simply bought new rubber for them! I emailed them again to let them know that I had ordered flat blades and they had sent out old style ones.

They replied to me saying that "because I had chosen the wrong blades in the first place they decided to send out the old style ones" What?! I had ordered the EXACT ones for my car that they suggested!! I was pretty annoyed at that, I let them know (politely, of course) that there must be a bug in the system as I definitely ordered the correct ones on their site. They agreed to send me out some flat ones that would fit.

Over a week later, still no sign of the replacements. I chase them up again and they say they will send out another set.

Guess what showed up in the post today? ONE blade! Correct fitment but only one item? Seriously, just what the hell? It has taken them four attemps to get me the wiper blades I actually ordered and STILL I am without the right items.

I am going to phone them up on Monday and give it to them with both barrels but I thought I would post up here to advise people that their customer service and product knowledge is absolutely shambolic and I certainly will not be using them again, ever.

Sometimes you are just plain unlucky, other times everything works out without a hitch.

At least you're half way there now :)

No company should need more than one opportunity to put something as simple as this right. Before shipping me the first replacement set they could simply have asked me what exactly it was I was after rather than guessing! Also, a company specialising in sending out wiper blades must surely know that absolutely nobody orders single wiper blades, so why only send out one? Honestly, sending me just one blade seems absolutely ridiculous to me.

Ive used them a couple of times and the only problem i had was that the Models were a bit wrong in their listings.

For example my car is a MK6 but I had to order Mk5 to get the right ones.

I think basically their whole order system needs re looking at, by someone who actually knows the difference between models of car! lol

EDIT: Looks like were not the only ones either, after a quick search I found similar issues.

Not disagreeing with you DRZ, just saying it happens. Customers can display their unhappiness with the level of service by going elsewhere.

Ive had a problem with them as well. Wanted some new blades so I ordered them from their site as you do. Next day delivery etc. Waiting in for them and they didnt turn up. Decided to give them a few days grace due to how bad Royal mail is. Never turned up. A week later wrote to them asking where they were and whats going on? They sent me another pair and said it will be there the next day. Same again. Nothing. Took them 3 attempts to send me some blades and 3 weeks. Not going to use them again and I wouldnt reccommend them at all

Yes but to be honest I used to work with both RM and couriers in my old job, and I once was trying to send some wheel nuts to a guy free off charge and the courier lost them twice! Made me sound like an idiot, as the first time they went missing with Rm and the second with _unnamed courier_, at least i could send him the transcript of the courier order so he believed me.

Moral of the story, Couriers = A load of rubbish. And thats before you even consider sending abroad!

Wah Wah Waaaaaaah #sadtrombone

Hard to describe how a mail order company could get things more wrong tbh ! Hope you get it sorted soon.

Sounds rubbish, I have used them a few times, and have had good service, as one time a set didn't turn up, emailed them and a set arrived in 2 days, few weeks later the originals did too which was nice.

Didn't have any problems with the Volvo, but all 3 I got for the Z3 were too big and I guess the tolerances are smaller.

Cheap and quick service, mind.

Meh I just buy flatblades on ebay for 5 quid, they are always fine ( bought em for both my cars and once for a mate, so far all fine), they last longer than more expensive regular blades and always wipe fine, I'll probs never change. Simply order some flatblades from ebay, they're usually 5 quid for a set. I've ordered twice from aceparts.co.uk now ( not from their own site but from the ebay seller) and they're fine.

No problems for me, i bought their own brand of aero wipers and they are still going strong after nearly 12 months!

Have used wiperblades a couple of times and they've been perfect, their own brand wipers are very good also.

Did this for the e36, £6 for two flat blades. Seemed to be good and lasted long enough, although I think they were getting on a bit by the time I sold the car (8months or so after buying the blades).

Unfortunately buddy companies these days don't seem to give a toss. It is so rare to get genuinely good service :(

Pretty much the case TBH. I've ordered from wiperblades.co.uk before and never had any issues but you don't find out how good a company is until you have to try out their customer service.
