Nvidia Refurb- Whats the story?

The Asus one is very closed to being purchased.

what clocks would I need to get 470 perfromance?

Somewhere around 850/1700/4000 and that's from personal experience testing my 460 HAWK (now sold) against a stock 470 in a friends PC. At this sort of speed we got pretty near identical figures in 3DmarkVantage, 3Dmark11, Heaven 2.5 and Stone Giant.

my betting is, these cards are in perfect nick and work perfectly, ocuk just need to word it to cover them selves.

im tempted to get 2x580's in SLI but is it worth the risk, but u save a neat £130 to upgrade 1 or more parts, plus if it is cosmetic then u can only really tell when u open the box

i used to buy and sell manufacturer refurbs but with white goods (cookers, fridges, etc)
Basically there was nothing wrong with them, which is why the manufacturer is still happy to put the warranty on them.
Most of them were returned to the manufacturer due to minor cosmetic damage, they were then tested and fixed if required, tested again and sold on at very low prices. (without complaints about the scratches this time around...very smart business really....)

I would have no problem buying any of these items from OCuk, who cares about a small scratch on a GPU, it still works the same. (i did buy a grad B monitor and i cant find any fault other then the box had been opened)

I bet the only worry OCuk have of selling refurbs at low prices is "will it have an impact on their grade A sales?"!
