HTC drags on the patent war, files yet another complaint against Apple

SEATTLE, Aug. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HTC Corporation today took legal action against Apple Inc., filing a complaint with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) and the U.S. District Court of Delaware for patent infringement by Apple's Mac computer product lines as well Apple's iPhone, iPad and iPod product lines.

Whats wrong with it?
Apple seem to be filing complaints against every man and they dog at the moment.
Seems pretty pathetic that Apple, who have only done 3 phones so far seem to be taking the credit for everything!
 
Or maybe it is because the companies are starting to get fed up with apples BS and are just striking back and playing their sad little game now to see how they like it.

Every single mobile company that develops an android handset should just take legal action against apple at the same time, hopefully put them out of business again but this time for good ;)
 
Maybe they are only doing it because Apple are doing it, maybe not. They're still doing it though.

Why would you want Apple to go out of business, do you hate them that much?!

they do it because apple does it to EVERY other company. If i was one of them i would do the same.

I would laugh if they manage to get the iPhone or something taken off sale :p

Not going to happen though I imagine!

I'm also not sure why HTC are going after the Mac product lines?!

Yup, I hate their company that much:

- don't like the prices they sell their items at
- don't like the way they take ideas that have been around for ages and reintroduce them as brand new and that they thought of them first and every one believes them
- don't like how closed they are for there software side
- don't like the majority of owners who are snobbish, or just plain stupid thinking that the iphone/imac what ever, is the best thing on earth and nothing is better than it, and especially the way they try and justify the cost of there products despite the fact you can get much better products/components for a lot cheaper "oh but it has aluminium casing and feels like a premium device that is why it is so much more expensive :rolleyes:"
- don't like steve jobs
- just don't like their software in general at all

And a lot of other things.......

Rant over, that felt good to get out :p

Apple's time is coming to an end. They running out of ideas and soon they glorious leader will be dead. Then what?
Android is fast on they trails and Google is getting bigger every year!

PS. I own a 3GS and no android devices before you label me a droidfanboi

They have plenty left yet, the more other companies innovate, the more they will refine it and make it more appealing to the masses. It's what they do, and they do it well, love them or hate them.
 
Apple seem to like doing it to everyone why can't they do it back ?, I personally think they are getting worried as they are falling behind with phone technology.

There I5 isn't out and Android have better phones coming out probably only 3 months after and now Google own Motorola it could really be a good time for the consumer.

Yep! They take what others have invented/produced refine it a little and then toss it off as their own.....then sue the original producers.

Like "notifications" in iOS5 for example........taken straight from Android and launched with hoohaa in a press conference like its a revolution they have created! Get REAL!

Yup, very true, why else haven't they released the iphone 5, the GS 2, sensation etc. have been out for months now.

Probably a bit like the COD developers after seeing the new BF 3 game play trailer "we are xxxxxx now" :p

Yeah, I did laugh when they announced that. I've got iOS 5 on my iPhone 4 though and it's a bit different, but very much the same idea. Still, Google should have patented it!

With regard to the out of date comments, the appeal of the iPhone is largely carried by its design (which isn't out of date) and its software, not its internal specs.

As long as it lasts 1 year~ people are more than happy. Hell, most keep it for 2.
 
I have nothing against Apple as such like I say the I4 is one of my favourite phones but its a tad boring, you can't really do anything with it just put a few themes on, for me it was just a phone stuck on the side waiting for calls/texts etc, the web browser is terrible with its chequer boards all the time and no text reflow I hated that.

The thing with IOS it doesn't really change that much, they just nick some ideas from Android :p then make them sound like they have invented something amazing like face time, hell my old K750I had video calling on.

I will give google there dues they do try and change Android with every major release and change how it looks for the better, apple just add a few minor features but it won't matter as they will still have huge queues outside shops for the I5, you can't argue much with Jobs he has turned that company round in a major way.
