Im shocked!! why would you do his?!

I've seen people killed if that's what you mean? Torture is another thing altogether.

That wasn't what I meant, no.

I'm not intending to belittle your experience as seeing anyone get killed must be an awful experience, whatever the circumstances. But it must have been different to that sort of sickness surely?

I don't understand what good that would do really?

Really? Do you not think censoring certain extreme videos on the net would be a wise idea?

Let's put it another way, we've got a young poster who's viewed this very thread (anuraj) aged 12, he's now actively searching for a graphic video where people are being tortured to death. If he was your son would you really want him to be able to freely view that sort of content

Parental control, if his parents done everything right he won't be able to access such material.

Most people aren't that clued up when it comes to computers, that isn't necessarily their fault.

Also, it's not hard to get around most parental control measures. What about at his friends house and on his phone, etc?

It would prevent a lot of people seeing this kind of thing, which is probably for the best right?

Dunno? Although temporarily horrified, I often feel watching the horror that goes on and being aware that certain things can happen makes me a more concious person, if that makes sense? Witnessing events that happen to others can make you more able with dealing with them or similar ones should you ever have to... all in all, I don't think exposure to these things is all bad.

Make it harder for young people to find/come across very disturbing material?

It's very hard unless you search for it really...

Don't agree with that statement but even speaking of just the bad parents, their kids need protection beyond what they offer.

Exactly, even "good" parents can't keep an eye on their kids 24/7.

Such footage of cruel acts should NOT be censored for wilful ignorance is as bad as going and doing this sort of this yourself. Spreading this video, posting about it etc informs people of the evils that exists so something can eventually be done. I see no sense in closing your eyes to such things, if they "hurt your feelings" then man the **** up you selfish sod, you're not the victim here.

I thank the OP for bringing it to my attention (however you shouldn't have posted a link and should have provided a warning).

Stick it on 4chan and they'll have the guy found in half an hour.

I haven't seen this video so maybe I should shut up :( But I don't want to see it either. Men can defend themselves (most of time) but animals are just dumb friends that want food and attention. lol !! I have a wee Yorkshire Terrier and as much as he barks all the time outside I could never hurt the wee fella :) If I seen anyone hurting him then I would do time to put the situation right.

We'll have to agree to disagree on the ability of average Joe to defend themselves against murderers.

We can agree that if anyone killed our dogs for fun, they'd best run for their sorry lives! ;)

I vividly remember seeing a man murdered in a video when I was about 11, it wasn't pretty in the slightest; it was designed to be a shock video (not that it took much extra doing), but no amount of (practical) internet censorship would have stopped that.

While I'd rather my son, or anyone that age not have to worry about such things... but it's not completely out there that one of his friends would decide to do something similar while he's present; Maybe this type of exposure gives a person a valuable experience to think about what they would do in that situation opposed to being completely unprepared and panicked. He's kind of already lived the scenario and knows the possible outcomes and would maybe act differently.

But it's very easy to search thus it isn't very hard.

Searching for something is completely different than randomly finding it. If your kid is searching for snuff videos, I really don't see how it's the government's problem.
