Usenet - Any good deals out there?

Are there any good deals on Usenet access out there?
Don't mind signing up for 12 months if it gives a good discount - just come out of a 12 month contract.

Looking for good retention, access to as many groups as possible, something speedy would be good.
Looking for "unlimited" monthly access as opposed to buying by "how much you're likley to download".
Are Xennews any good?

NewsDemon if you pay monthly - $10/month (~£6)

Astraweb if you pay for the year in advance - $96/year or $8/month (~£5)

Not too bad, although that ties you down to a 12 month contract, if you go for the $11/month deal you can cancel at the end of the month if you wish and not pay them again.

Up to you on whether you want to commit to that 12 months

Well, if you can see yourself using them for more than 8 months then the yearly deal works out cheaper. I went for it and its been worth every penny so far
