Right,

After ordering some small parts on OcUK I decided to google shopping search to see how prices compared (seems for small parts free shipping adds up :)) and some of the reviews on google are an absolute joke. They look like they are written by angry teenagers and not people you would assume are quite mature.

Not really sure what this thread is aimed at but just voicing my complete shock.

Most reviews I've seen of OcUK have been poor, but I think that's just the load minority. OcUK offer a great service.

The Internet, giving a voice to muppets since the 90's :).

My point is that the majority are either 5star or 1star and the people who have written the 1stars seem like children.

Isn't a lot of this related to old forum users that were banned and competitor forumites thinking its cool to try and tarnish OcUK's reputation.

When I read reviews for things like this, you can generally tell if the person has a clue or not. Generally the technical level of their post is a good indication. You might as well ignore posts like "THY DIDNT ACCEPT MY RETRN OV FAULTY PRODUCTZ!11"

Simple fact is people will complain on bad service but standard service or good services never gets spoken about. Its only amazing service that will get a odd review.

Well thats what I notice it seems and that doesnt just include ocuk just a general rule of thumb

put it this way. People generally only say something when something is wrong.

Edit: duggan beat me to it

I'd still wager that there's no smoke without fire, and at least some of them will be genuine grievances. Still, it's always the case that more people will post about bad service than good.

Edit: Grr, beaten.

gotta agree with many of those reviews though. great forum and all but I have to think long and hard about ordering from them.

a certain incident involving laptop bags made sure of that one.

Im going to admit that I agree with some of the bad reviews on there. Vowed never to deal with OCuk again due to many failures ive had over the years. The view more people complain than complement doesn't make sense. Check some of the competitors, beginning with s and e ?

SO far my list of failures contains, bad packaging, used sold as new, no replies to emails, items not shipped on time, and over priced.

Good forums thoe...

None of those pages are regulated in anyway, you can troll to your heats desire.

I will say though their RMA communication has gone out the window completely, no emails for RMA or anything even when directly told to wait for one.

My last RMA from a month ago had emails informing me of the RMA, telling me when they'd received my item, and telling me it had been accepted and I'd been refunded. But personally, I've always had top notch service from here.

I had a terrible experience with OCUK a few years back and vowed never to shop here again. But with some of the cheapest shipping to Northern Ireland I recently relented and gave them a go and have been satisfied with the service thus far. They aren't perfect :)

I've used OcUK for ages, and only really had one bad experience with them.

Unfortunately for them, I suppose, I won't ever be buying a pre-built from them again, but 9 times out of 10 in my experience they are second to none.

Care to elaborate? I'm in the market for a completely new, pre-built system in the next couple of months. Want a gaming monster and was thinking of buying from a competitor. (I have virtually no free time to build, burn-in, test and mess around with a new PC anymore :().

I've only ever had good service from OcUK, but I have a good friend who's been severely messed about in the past - having said that, I still order stuff from here providing the price is right. (Ever the optimist eh?!)
