I finally order my today

Its the space I was referring too, the SSD will last years and years.

You had two F3's in that spec for some reason?, but even a 500GB drive is big for storage.
 
Well I removed one F3 Drive, so I should have plenty of space including my 500GB external. I've already used 700GB on my current system....
 
Stulid, would my 460GTX 768mb overclocked be able to handle Skyrim and BF3 at medium settings. MIght wait for the card prices to go down.
 
nt bad results actually, how much worse would a 768MB version be compared to the 1GB, i mind it's overclocked (at the moment) around 860mhz core clock.

Also I have 4GB OCZ 1333mhz ram, should I use that or upgrade
 
would you say with my clock speed it should match the 470?

Might aswell change my ram, £40 isn't a big deal and I could probably get £20 for mine

A GTX470 is still faster (shear brute force with the amount of processors it has). But wheres the GTX470 talk coming from?

When in SLI the fastest card wil downclock to the same speed as the slower card, so your overclocked GTX460 768mb will slow down to normal clock speeds when you attach it to another.

Could I not overclock the 2nd 460? Also I assume it would have to be the same MSI cyclone
 
You can use any GTX460 768mb with any other GTX460 768mb, it can be made by evga/palit/zotac etc, it doesnt matter, the Nvidia drivers will sort it all out and clock the fastest card to the same as the slowest.
 
Thats handy, so personally what would you suggest,a single 570, or 2x 460 SLI. I could sell my card and get about 70 for it..

Me personally.

I would get the GTX570 and then maybe sli that later on.

Thats what im doing right now in fact, got one chugging away and in a year or two may pick up another from the members market for peanuts.
 
I'm yet to see the members market, only 30mins till I can order it. Stuck at work without any of my bank details.

QUick question tho. I'm using a LCD tv as my monitor via HDMI, and when I'm playing Bulletstorm sometimes I get lines on the screen, looks like a wave going up. Is that my refresh rate on the TV?
 
It might be the refresh, an older nvidia driver had a problem where it was locked at 59hz and 60hz wasnt selectable.
