Hey guys, just registered to the forums looking for some advice

Im getting this case soon and also a Noctua nh-d14 cpu cooler, now the question is will I still have room for 2 standard 120x120x25mm fans at the top of the case using an Asus M4A79XTD Evo motherbaord with this cooler in place?

Cheers lads

you can fit 2 120mm fans under the top cowling with no probs, so they are not in the case. That is what i liked about that case.

ah ok didn't even think about that! just came to mind becuase i've bene planning to buy for a while now and found a few places wehre people were complaining they fitted this cooler and couldn't get a fan above it ....

Cheers for the prompt reply its much appreciated :D

ooooooh very intersting.... Now my minds doing overtime lmao im like a kid in a sweet shop here

Awesome rig ya got there :D

Your more than welcome

Dude how does your 6950's (flashed to 6970.. u jammy sod :P) perform

My next gfx upgrade is from a 5770 to a 6950 but to save me from goin out and splashing out on another main card I was gunna just make use of crossfire in a few months and that way surely my system would be solid for longer but a lot of places seem to be hating on the hexcores and crossfire 6950's.

My board would only run the cards at x8 x8 but the idea I had was to get one for now in this board then probably upgrade mobo before I went and bought another 6950

So yeh lol what sorta peformance dya get out them ?

PS : Im running stock speed of 3.3 atm but intend on overclocking aswell

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18249292 Check that out and there is also some specs and bench marks in my build log.
I think i was one of the lucky ones to get a pair of revision 1 sapphire cards with the shaders you could unlock with a 6970 bios flash. I think now that all the new revision 2 cards cannot be flashed anymore, but they are still a sweet card.
I did have them running on a Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3 which only runs at 8x8. to be honest there was not a lot of difference on the benchmarks with standard clocks.

Cheers for the link, gunna take a look

I dont intend on gettin crossfire until I can do x16 x16 I jsut see it as a bit pointless, may aswell make full use of it but anyway that aint gunna be for another couple of months yet so plenty of time to sort something out but first on the cards is the cpu gettin overclocked (first time)

Been building computers for a while now and starting to get more and more into it hence why I really joined the site, in hope to learn as much as possible hehe

Cheers for the prompt replies
