New 911 - Official Pictures

i dont no why they keep releasing new 911s they all look the same.

wonder how much it cost to develop a new car that looks the same as the last one.

just stick with the 1 design and update the engine every few years.

Like everything about it except that massive gearstick knob. Looks totally out of place. Is that a PDK model? Why no paddles, just the wheel mounted buttons a lot of people hated.

You can get paddles as an option (not sure of the cost).

I like it but the writing on the rear end looks rubbish! Why squeeze in 2 lines and not just stick to "Carrera S" like the old ones. The PORSCHE looks too tacky to me.

I agree, would hope you could lose some of the badges in the options list. Pretty sure anyone who lives in a country with a decent standard of living knows what car it is.

Interior looks good, an area the 911/Cayman/Boxster needed to be updated imo.

I like the subtle changes but I'm not sure about the rear lights...don't think they look very Porsche, more of a Jap influence.

How does the PDK knob work, push and pull or is it only via the steering wheel controls.

I drove one last weekend and you can use the stick (push/pull) to change but I defaulted to using the steering wheel controls - although they were particularly more difficult to get used to than the M3's right=up, left=down paddles as mentioned earlier in the thread. The default PDK steering wheel controls are the same on either side of the wheel - push from behind to change up, push from the front to change down - very unnatural to me versus the M3's DCT arrangement and I've hardly used sequential gearboxes before.

Thinking this looks pretty good, not so sure on the rear which looks a bit more bulbous than the 997, but overall seems to combine some of the panameras looks with that of the 911 breed, and the interior looks absolutely incredible compared to the current model. Hopefully will drive as good as it looks.

PDK paddles were a relatively cheap extra on the list, and talking about the badging on the back, I'm sure Porsche will offer free debadging as they do on all current models afaik.

PDK with the thumb shifters really didn't impress me, I don't understand how the idea got past concept. PDK with sport chrono/sport+ and paddle shifters however is absolutely fantastic. I'd still probably go manual though.

The rear lights look very aston to me.

Was a fan of the 996 was a fan of the 997 nothing here that makes me think im not going to be a fan of the 99?

If anything looks like its sitting down a bit more that the others if that makes sense.

I thought that was changing so the new ones would be right for up left for down?
