anybody still playing this??? im having a few rounds now and maybe starting to get hooked again, brilliant game, brilliant maps, perfect game to be honest, much better than CSS. if i had one wish as a pc gamer bar bf3, it would be that they released a new counter strike with 1.6 gameplay + new graphics.
 
Still dabble in 1.6 occasionally! I used to be quite good, but not so great these days :(. That or the skill of the players that still play it has increased hugely.
 
Been messing about on Death Match recently, still good fun for a quick 30/45 min blast. Would be great to get some mixes going though :)
 
Still waaay too many cheaters playing these days. The only way to play fairly seems to be with SGL anti-cheat but even then you get the odd one who manages to bypass it. I actually haven't played a single game/mix in the past year where someone wasn't blatantly wallhacking on either my team or the opposite team. This is what ruins it for me online. Much better to play on LAN with mates or competitions.

Anyone recommend any decent places to get good games/mixes these days?

dont believe that all all. i never run into cheaters on mixes/online 32 player games much in cs 1.6 at all and u run into one in every single game of cs 1.6 you've played in the last year :rolleyes:
 
Can't sday I've run into many cheaters, but then I've only fired it up once or twice in the last year. It's just everyone that plays it has been playing for years so they are a lot better than me. I found out a while back that if you get good at 1.6 you often suck at CZ and CSS, same with CZ (and the other two) and same with CSS. As CSS happens to be the newest and my favourite I think I'll stick with that. ;)

Well, lucky you. I guess I haven't had the fortune of playing with very good (legit!) players lately, hence why I was asking for good places to game/play mixes.
