Dual monitor, but second screen is black and white?

Its not monitor related. As if I literally pull the cables from the monitors and switch them, then it will switch the other to black and white.

Yeah I've tried all the possibities. The monitors just react differently depending on how many cables are plugged in.

So they'll both work with each tv on their own, then once I plug them both in at the same time the picture from whichever monitor is plugged into the DVI port will suddenly turn either black and white, or off. Depending on which DVI port, which also makes it strange as the two ports don't act the same.

Thats the odd part, I did try it, but I still had the other monitor plugged in the original port.

It seems that when I plug them in indiviually, Everythings fine, but once theres multiple outputs, it cant handle it.

Ignore the monitors, they are fine. These are the different variations and results.

On its own...
HDMI - fine
dvi 1 - fine
dvi 2 - fine

Combined....
HDMI/dvi 1 - colour/black and white
HDMI/dvi 2 - colour/no output

However say I pull out the HMDI from the HDMI/dvi 2 situation, suddenly I'll have colour output from the DVI.

This is all really odd, but it just seems they don't want to work with each other. Is this the norm? I'm fairly confused.

These are the main facts, so is it a problem with the card? Either a fault or a a design fault?

You didn't say if you'd tried different HDMI ports on the TV's.

On some TV's you have to use a specific HDMI port if connecting a PC.

Also try going into the Catalyst Control Centre and find the option to reset all settings to default.

Well one of my monitors has only one HDMI port, so that cant be changed. And the other TV, I'll try now, but the thing is. I can leave it plugged in while its black and white, and pull out the cable connecting the OTHER tv and suddenly that first TV will go from black and white to colour.

Tried all the ports and still black and white :(

I assume you've tried resetting everything to default in the CCC?

You could have a look at the colour settings in the CCC.

Possibly a faulty adapter.

ATI/AMD used to use a non-standard DVI connector and supply their own HDMI adapter so that you could get sound through DVI. I don't know if that's still the case now that the cards have HDMI connectors as standard.

Woah...Its a driver issue. I think.

I re installed the drivers from the catalyst control center and mid install both monitors flick off, come on colour for two seconds, flick back off and im back to black and white.

Thats maybe a flicker of hope? But how do I configure the drivers to let me run the two colour at all times!

I don't think one is full HD, but its not like one TV behaves differently. It just depends which is plugged into which port. As which ever TV is plugged into the DVI port is the one that becomes black and white.

It seems that each tv can run colour or black and white, and each port will work on its own, but then once I start plugging them into together then it wont work.

And when I was reinstalling the drivers they flicked to colour, so both tvs have the caoability to run through the ports and run correctly. Its just working out to get them running.

When you reinstall the drivers the output resolution is changed briefly until the driver has sorted itself out and your settings applied.

Just try setting your output resolution to 1366x768 (I assume you're using 1920x1080 at the minute) and see what happens.

Just an FYI, This issue was resolved by adjusting the Saturation in the CCC.

Seems to be a common issue for some people when using TV's.
