New DGteam Firmware (DG834GT)

I flashed my DG834GT with DG834GT_V1.03.22_DGTeam_1018_eng_adsldrv026.img via Google Chrome and it worked fine!

You must be lucky as i `bricked` my router using this version and have read that `a lot` of other people did the same
How did you do it please?Step by step would be great,anything special have to be done?Apart from using chrome i mean?

I think you can unbrick these routers. From memory, you power it up, keep the reset button pressed in, unplug the power lead whilst still holding the reset for 15 seconds, then plug the power back in.

I tried using that method and the netgear recovery software but failed,i ended up loading a pc with linux and having to type commands in.Took me about a dozen goes as i kept making typos

Hi guys, I am looking for a router to tweak the SNR of my connection. But I also need it to be stable at levels under 4dB. Do you have any suggestions?

I first flashed to the latest netgear official firmware.

Factory reset the router.

Then just flashed DG834GT_V1.03.22_DGTeam_1018_eng_adsldrv026.img via "router upgrade" on the web interface.

Bear in mind everything else is unplugged except the LAN cable and set a static IP on your PC.

Is there anything different about the firmware you have flashed? Is it better for sync and stability than 23o?

Never did that before,might be where I was going wrong.Any idea what the 026 has over the 023?

26 doesn't have PhyR but 23o does, but then again, doesn't really matter if the DSLAM doesn't support it.

I find that 26 holds a <1db sn margin very well but your mileage may vary.

P.S. 26 did brick my router when I flashed it about a year ago (over an old DGteam firmware) but if you reset and flash over the stock firmware it should be okay as what I've done recently, but again, your mileage may vary. I really have no idea why it flashed okay for me this time.

I have used the Netgear DG834v4 but I have found that it can't hold lower than 3dB. What are your line stats?

Impressive, I am on a 40dB attenuation, do you you think my DGN2000 will be able to hold the connection like yours?
