Please check before I buy...

SSD caching is good only for small SSD's, with a 120GB SSD just use it like a normal harddrive, then have a larger harddrive for general storage (D:drive) so you wont need an Z68 board at all, the money saved can be used to get the best graphics card you can afford.

onboard graphics and SSD caching like the OP asked?

SSD caching is no good for a 120GB SSD liked he asked.

He also said,

Any HD graphics card will do for the time being,

So some cheap thing will do, unless the money he has for a graphics card and the £30 saving with a P67 motherboard will get him something ok such as a GTX460.

Bored. Heres a £850 spec.

That will rape games.

Use the SSD for the OS and as many games as you can fit on it.

Ignore SSD caching as it doesnt work over 64GB and you would have to partition the SSD which defeats the point.

Use the 500GB harddrive for other storage etc.

Ignore SLI and Crossfire too, just stick with the one single powerful card approach.

Hi stulid, many thanks for your post. I very much like the spec but there's just one thing I won't go with at them moment and that is the graphics card. I don't want to spend £200 on a graphics card, especially since I won't be gaming for at least one year. Does this particular motherboard require a graphics card to function? If so, please can you recommend a much cheaper one so I can upgrade it after a year or so.
Please can you also recommend the best solution for wirelss internet; should I buy an internal wireless card or some sort of a dongle? Which one would work best?
Many thanks again and sorry to be a pain in the ar**

Yes the above spec needs a card to get a display.

So heres a cheap one - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-259-AS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1985

That actually has some useful, Blu-ray/Hd decoding acceleration etc.

So that instead of the 6950 card makes the total around £700.

I have had bad experiences with wireless dongles and cards, so my advice is always a cable to the modem.

Maybe someone can expand on a better solution or something thats worked for them.
