Wanna know owners views.

I've been looking at them on the Ford website and they seem real quality cars for the money. They seem to have a touch of luxury about them which is strange for a Ford.

The Titanium X Sport looks pretty decent: http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/FirstDrives/Ford-Mondeo-2.0-240-EcoBoost-Titanium-X-Sp/258615/

I wonder how much they'd be worth in a couple of years time...

I have an 09 Titanium which was used as a 'look at all the options you can have' car for the first 3 Months of it's life.

With all the spec which tops the Titanium X it had a list price for nearly £28K. We paid £14895 for it when it was 4 Months old and with 2.5K miles on the clock.

That's promising. The 2011 Titanium X Sport with the 240ps Ecoboost engine seems to be the modern equivalent of the ST so if it depreciates massively over the next couple of years, I imagine many people would be interested. But I can't see that many going onto the second hand market given so many people opt for the diesels...

That's the one I'm actually thinking of.

Above all the others, 19 inch alloys, twin exhaust, alcantara leather seats, piano black interior trim and lots more. Combine this with a big screen sat nav system and I reckon you've got one serious motor for £28k.

Not many regular cars the size of the Mondeo can hit 60 in 7 seconds either.

It's 1570kg about the same as my old A3 2.0TFSI quattro that did it in 7.2.s with only 196bhp and less weight than my 530d touring which does 0-60 in 6.9s with 235bhp. The performance isn't great.

A3 is 4wd, BMW is rwd. Mondeo is fwd simples. It's all about putting it down

Hi, I have a 08 2.0l Titx, they are good cars and for the price, mine cost me £18k brand new, have a good amount of kit, excellent ride, on the standard wheels, and handling, although those big 19" sport wheels will affect the ride a tad. I got mine remapped, best £250 I've ever spent, economy can hit 60mpg and I get around 40 round town but with fun performance. Residuals are better than the previous model, I got over 50% on a car three and half years old on a P/X from a Ford dealer. The newer ecoboost engines are good, they use diesel technology, even the 1.6 isin't too shabbly. If you want some more advice I suggest you go to talkford and read up on oher owners experiences http://www.talkford.com/portal/ as there is a wealth of knowledge in there.

The Titanium X spec is very nice, especially if you are talking brand new as it's the face lift version which is even better.

I have found the lower specced models to be somewhat ...less great than I was lead to believe they were though. Don't get me wrong, they are all good, but fairly recently I was looking at a couple of Zetec and Ghia specced cars and while they were 'fine' ...they were not quite as good as I was expecting on the inside (actually I was quite disappointed) in the end I bought a Volvo V50 (smaller I know), which was rather better I found, I don't think it drives any better but it has a better interior and really just feels like a higher quality product.

I must say the face-lifted Mondeo has a much better centre console now ...the mass of cheap silver plastic in the pre-facelifted model was a big put off for me. The Titanium X though has a darker shade, more of a gunmetal sort of colour which looks much better.

They are very good cars, I find it hard to really say anything particularly bad about them. I was posied to buy a 2007 MK4 some weeks back ...albeit Zetec spec rather than Titanium X. But then I saw the Volvo and had a look and it, went for a drive and liked it better. A decision I do not regret.
