Razer Nostromo or Logitech G13 or.......

Nice idea (and super fast response :)) but that just links to the razer one and doesn't appear to be in stock any where.

So far I've found the Razer for £44 delivered and the G13 £50 delivered, but the Logitech is a refurbed one.

Hmm, seems the G13 is a better product, anyone have any opinions on that?

Also, anyone own one and know how long the USB cable is?

G13 is better imo, I have an N52te which I never use now but when I visit my friends I do like his G13. Having said that I wouldn't use it either - as frankly I can't get the hang of either device. The N52TE is arguably more comfortable though, depends how large/fat your hands are!

g13 cable is about 2m long

Mine's become a mainstay of all my gaming now, only thing it lacks IMO is a way for the LCD to show a 'helper' applet that will give me a clue as to what the key does (you can be in a game like Dead Space and it'll say "press C" and I have nfc which of the buttons I mapped to "C" I just know which one makes me move forward, which one fires, etc., without pausing the game and alt-tabbing out to check).

That said, it's a common issue with every device of this kind, and I should probably get off my arse and write my own LCD applet to show the keys.

Managed to find a cheap second hand n52te so I can give that a try and see how I get on. Will report back soon. :)

I've had my N52TE for a few days and I'm starting to feel comfortable with it now. It's exactly what I wanted so I can game from my arm chair with the N52TE and a mouse on my lap.

I had to buy a USB extension though, as the cable is only 1.5m. OcUK sent me one in the post for £1.20! :D Brilliant service as ever.

The Belkin N52te is no longer made by Belkin, but is now made by Razer.

Razer also charge almost double that Belkin did, for the EXACT same product! Problem is, I've used this Belkin one for almost 5 years, so I will need a new one sooner or later, and I don't want to give the robbing ***** Razer my money.

The n52te is brilliant, I have tried to replace it with Logitech's offering, and I ended up selling that on after a month.

That's why I went for the N52TE. I couldn't see the point in shelling out 50 sheets for the Razer branded version. I don't think that they are identical internally though because the razer software doesn't work with the N52TE.

That's Razer messing with it, other than them using their own software, they are the exact same pieces of kit.

I paid £23.99 for my last n52te, now they are what? £50? When there has been no change in all that time is just ridiculous.

Yeah, 50 squids now. Unfortunately, unless you could find a second hand N52TE, that's what you'd have to pay. Hopefully though, it'll never be a problem for you. :D

I bought 10 for £10 each from a surplus/ex-shop stock about 6 months after the N52TE came out.

Sold them all very quickly. Should have kept hold of some. :D
