xps17 l702x

I am in need of a desktop replacement and recently saw the dell xps17 l702x in a local store for £999. It has 6 gig ram 640g harddrive and nvidia 3gig gt555m card it is also i belive 1920x1080 res.
Will this be ok to play wow and run general run of the mill software?

You can get a fully spec one for Total £878.99 so be careful what your paying at the store.

Would that be direct from dell? This store one had £200 off aswell

Ah i see i have been there, that is the base model, if you select to customise it the cost becomes £1350 ish this is choosing the 1920x1080 display, a backlit keyboard and also the upgraded wireless card. Dell also offer on this free ram upgrade to 6 gig and 1 tb harddrive.

The store one i have seen has 6 gig ram and the 1920 x 1080 screen, i think the store 1 is better value. If your interested in comparing it is a uk store that has the same name as an indian meal

Be careful on the one in store as it says the screen res is 1366 x 768 which wouldnt be correct for either type screen that comes with this model, maybe a typo but worth making sure.
Got no problems at all with mine, excellent laptop and more than capable of running wow, mine always has 60fps with vsync on, ultra settings apart from shadows on high, but always run with shadows slightly down on all my machines for some reason.
In fact I've not found anything it struggles with yet.
