Marquee Tent Wedding

I've shot at loads of marquee weddings and they've been some of the best receptions we've done.

Been to a few, one recently. Of the weddings I've been too I much preferred the marquee ones.

My sister got married a few weeks ago and had the reception the Nothe Fort in Weymouth http://www.nothefort.org.uk/ and she had a marquee from Marquee mania http://www.marqueemania.com/ and it was fantastic. I will see if I can get some pictures of it.

Providing it's done well and the weather suits I see no reason why it wouldn't be as nice or nicer than anywhere else.

I don't think it's cheap or naff.

Odds are low that is was, but you never know.

A recent couple had a massive, 3-tier one of these: www.tentipi.se. Was awesome, but probably very expensive.

The photos from the marquee wedding I shot last month is not quite finished and I am not home atm, will show you that when get home if you like and that one took place in the bride's dad's back garden! It took up 80% of the garden so it was rather tight squeeze.

Dont forget the Karaoke machine and the coloured lights.

If done correctly a marquee wedding can outclass most ordinary venues.

Also don't forget that "portaloos" just won't do... You wouldn't want the bride with a long train having to sit in some skanky portaloo (on a side note my friend hired some really nice loos... super posh with music to boot!

Last one i went to the loo has a LCD with DVD player lol

After the wedding we spoke to the staff at the Nothe and they said they were the most professional marquee company they've had up there. They said they will reccomend them to everyone from now on. So they do come highly reccomended from us as well.
