Just wish I'd bought some silver...!

yeah you have to hunt around as prices do tend to match the +vat price as there is high demand, but there are bargains out there if you look.

which is just what i said, but looking takes time

how much is your time worth ?

i have spent many many hours on ebay trying to bid and win bargains, most of which dont come off because the price goes up too much which means they are not bargains any more

Bought 2 krugerrands a few years ago for a little over £300 each. Currently worth almost £1200 :o

Huge profit, deffinately not what I was expecting, but the question is 'hold or sell'. I think i'm going to keep them for a while, keep watching it soar... hopefully!

Could sell one now, wait with the 2nd?

ebay is not the best place as you will pay about 10% over the price because people add their ebay fees on to the price

if you search google you will find companies selling silver

pick a product, say Candian Maple Leaf 1 oz coin and compare the companies

you can get some good bits of ebay but you need to know what something is worth. it can also be good to pick up odder or rare bits if you want to own those type of things

Thanks for the advice. Think I'll give this a go just for the lulz! :)

What kind of mug would buy near useless metal at his price? Gold has very little industrial value and the only reason it is revered is because of historical sheep psychology. The shrewd money is getting out of useless metal and into farm land right now.

This ramping thread should be shut now because it seems unknowing readers want to buy at the top of the market.

Lol. You know that it is the top of the market do you??

Got your crystal ball

I can't say it won't go up even more but what I can tell you is that bubbles pop when streams of mindless sheep pile into assets that are rising and pay prices that are way above their true value. We are past that point now with PMs.

Who is to say what their true value is??

You are mighty new to these parts to be demanding threads be closed for any reason, much less because they conflict with your investment opinion.
