Looking for a 27inch monitor for Gaming, 3d modelling and some photoshop

Im looking for something good enough to handle all the above...

I was looking at this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-054-IY&tool=3

Its not too expensive but I dont know if maybe there are better ones in that price range for what I want to do... I've set my budget to around £300 (might go a bit higher if needed but preffer not to)

Anyone know of a decent monitor in that price range that would be good enough ?

oh and it would be great if it had vesa mounts as I intend to get a desk bracket for it

So are the 16:10 (1200) panels on the budget 27"er's the way out in favor of the 16:9's (1080) now?

they provide much better desktop room as far as im aware (never used one) so most people say they are better than 1080 for computers.... I suppose this is how most folk see it 1080 is a tv res 1200 is a computer res

I'll post in here to let people know how it goes, dunno when i'll be ordering mine but deffo getting it

was looking for the exact same thing 27" for <£300 for my brother, what about this, any good?

How important is the 3D modelling and Photoshop? As if you're serious about those you won't want to be messing about with TN-panels, as their poor viewing angles and colour reproduction aren't great for those. Push your budget up to £400 and you can have this. Not only does it have great colour reproduction and viewing angles but it also features a higher resolution. You shouldn't skimp on a monitor as it's what you'll be watching every time you use your computer.

tbh its not that important but is going to be a hobby more than anything really... we'll see how I like the monitor when it arrives but if I dont like it I will most deffo return and I do like the one you suggested... looks very smart and tidy

I'll post here and let you know if I end up with diff one, I know its personal prefference with these things too so we'll see I guess.

Cheers for the link anyway buddy its much appreciated and like I said i'll keep thread updated and if I do return this one (if thats even possible without it being faulty) I'll probably get the one in the link

Changed my mind, when it arrives tomorrow I Won't be opening the box, isntead im just gunna return it for a reffund and get IPS instead...

I spend a huge amount of my time at the computer so the alst thing I wanna be doing is skrimping.. I'll hold out and get something better like posted above

EDIT : Looks like im gunna be keeping it for at least a little while.... when I eventaully get an IPS I can sell this on or use as second monitor or something

Just received the monitor, looks good and all that but has 2 dead pixels.... si there anything I can do about this or am is stuck wiht it ?
