Going to be some disappointed people on BABS I think. My rep has just called me and despite their system showing 2000+ in stock, they don;t actuallu have any - ZERO. They are getting just 500 tomorrow so only the first 500 orders will be honoured.

 :(
I hope they learn from their mistakes and always have a little more server capacity to go at a moments notice.

Dear Tom,

We are now preparing your PC World order for delivery .

This better mean they've actually allocated the stock :\

The OS on this tablet seems pretty pants, unless I'm missing something (linux/android port?) there doesn't seem much reason to get one of these?

Something like this is a very rare rare thing. The only thing that I think that is comparable is when Glastonbury and big gig tickets go on sale. I think suggesting they should fork out for extra server space for the very limited times this'll happen is a bit daft.

I've heard it's not too bad, depends on what you're using it for. If it's just the standard browsing/emailing/social updating then it's perfectly fine. But there's a lot of communities really starting to work on getting android/other OS' on these now. I doubt it won't be long until you can get them working on these devices perfectly fine.

They don't even have to buy extra servers. Just some sort of contingency plan in rare cases like this!
