Poll: HP TouchPad - $99 in US - any sign of UK drop?

Probably going to be £99 over because, you know, that's how exchange rates work, apparently. Any sign of it on any UK retailers? HP didn't have anything to say on the matter...

WebOS is a good OS, looks like some people are really interested in an Android port though.

Reserved one last night, went in store to collect it - overheard them trying to reserve them for themselves, but none were left.

Basically after trying everything & listening to every single one of there pretend excuses including why I couldn't buy it for full price, get a refund then buy it for the actual price, I just walked out.

Still can't believe the ****s at PCW.

Last time I shopped their was went Mass Effect was release & I got 2 for £60. They were complete windows-lickers back then.

Basically I heard them talking about trying to 'save' the Touchpads while queuing, after 20 minutes of trying to actually buy the thing for £115. I told the uppity little **** weasel who should stop being proud of working at PCW.

Reserved it for another day just to annoy them & left

May I ask when and how they were ordered, and how much you paid. Just been to Currys and they were adament the £89 was for web orders only and not even collect @ store.

Depends on the people working there, some will do their job, some will be window-lickers.

Just phoned CPW, apparently they have a massive backlog (thank you HUKD =/) and you should receive an email either way by the end of the day.

Currys just rang me, 32gb I reserved on Sunday is available for pick-up at £115.

Will pop along tonight, hopefully this store isn't full of turd-burglars like my local PCW.

Hopefully I've run into some luck - every website I try to get one from dies before payment.
