I'm also surprised they didn't start with higher prices, once they realised a frenzy was going on. For example, why not flog them at £180? People would have still bought them all.

Definitely. Their sites being shagged for hours doesn't help their sales. If a business needed a lot of equipment quickly then they will quickly move onto somewhere else.
