CPW all on hold, not allocating until they work out where they are, emails late today or tomorrow

Nice. That's pretty much what the guy told me when I called their CS...but what does 'back order' mean in this case? I thought no one could get hold of any more stock...

I just called play.com and asked about the removal of the 32GB version - no stock. I then asked about the 16GB version, it is in stock. However they will not be adjusting the price in line with the HP price drop, it will remain at £349. I asked if that would be subject to change and she said it will absolutely not move from there, the sales team have been categorically told from above.

I'm closing my play tab now! If anyone else wants to confirm, plays number is 0845 800 1020 - option 5 from the menu.

Apparently people are buying at full price, not opening and waiting to see if HP are honouring the refund of the price drop, like they did in the U.S.
 
Still no update for my best buy order :( Only good thing is that it went through before CPW starting selling and i think they use the same warehouse, so hopefully i am one of the first in the queue, it is supposed to arrive tomorrow
