My 1st adult passport

Hi

Will be sending of for my first adult passport this week

i read on the government website that you may require a interview anybody had this interview before ?

They'll only do it if your nationality is questionable if you've a british birth certificate you should be fine!

It's so they can see what role would suit you in the event of a zombie apocalypse, apparently I am supposed to man the battle cannons.

Only adults who have never before had a British passport in their own name need to attend an interview.

I had to get an interview for my 1st adult passport because I never had a childs passport, was included on my mums passport
all my family are british...

My girlfriends best friend had a passport interview yesterday, lasts about 30 mins I think and she has a British birth certificate. They told her and my girlfriend that it was done at random for those who have never had a passport but those who had a childs passport aren't required to go through the interview process.

yep both british parents and legit documents and still had to have interview.

wanted to know things like how many people i lived with etc which i though was a bit odd.

The Only person I know who this has happened to was my mate Ellie who had an Irish Passport originally and they said the interview was a formality for those born outside the UK but then it's been a while since then so it could've changed.

they're just asking you questions that only the persons name on the passport would know, probably prompted after 9/11 etc!

Oh well looks like a interview is necessary then as this is my first passport and my parents have never had a passport either

I had my interview a few weeks ago for my passport.

They ask you,
1. What is you full name and spell it.
2. Where do you live
3. Who live with and there relation to you.
4. What is there date of birth.
5. Where was you mum and dad born and there date of birth.
6. What are all your direct debits, who they are with.
7. Who counter sign your passport form and how do you know them and there date of birth as well.
