cant help but feel a company as big as hp would have given retailers a much bigger stock count i mean it was quite an important tablet when released, it was 'trying' to compete. what gets me is how the stocks depleted so fast, i feel as though this is a test. hp dun goofed on the original price, they let a few thousand go for 115, see how fast they fly, get them selves some publicity. then probably have 10's of thousands ready to sell for a much much lower price than release but not as low as these at 115. just my thoughts.

Dear awesomeguy,

Thank you for your email.

We are sorry to hear that you have found out that our pricing of HP TouchPad models were higher despite the fire sale.

We understand that HP has announced that they are withdrawing from the tablet market and therefore number of retailers in the UK decided to lower the price of the above item to sell all their remainig stocks.

We can confirm that the price of the said tablets were not reduced on our website on the times these were available. Unfortunately, we can no longer supply you these as all of our stocks have been sold.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you and thank you for your patience and valued custom.

Kind regards,

Could be correct as there have been mutterings of another 200k arriving in the UK relatively soon. :o

I guess it will take stores a while to figure out how much stock they can source, I expect more to appear on the larger sites over the coming days.

Can I just say, the hardware site that sounds like Cisco. The tweets are hilarious - many people are full of rage and are planning to not buy anything from them again!
