You can disable that, even on PES 2011.
How, i reckon to have checked all the options?

My initial thoughts were that it plays like a PS2 game but apparently this is a good thing?
I posted this on Evo Web:-
Well I have stayed away fro all the hype this year, having learned to manage expetations rather than let the hyper bowl snowball me into idealism.
Having downloaded the demo last night and played for a solid hour this morning I can honestly say this has the makings of the best footy game to date.
The ball physics are wonderful, it carries real weight and spin without the marble on a desk top feel, it really is a cut above past Pes physics.
The animations are all now nice and smooth with very little clipping between animations but the best thing of all, for the first time ever the AI jockeys the player allowing you to pick a pass creating time and space to produce a slow, methodical build up, rather than past foorball games that have the opposition flying in to try and win the ball.
The defensive AI is very clever in that it gives you space around the box, but squeezes you in to narrow channels so you are (like real footy) forced in to going backwards to create more space behind.
I love the little touches of the keeper shouting oreders at corners, players appealing for fouls and yes I have seen on more than one occasion the advantage rule for offside and freekicks.
The sound has improved, it's far more atmospheric and I like the pitchside camera, although for me I prefer the Broadcast camera when playing.
It's going to be a big challenge to master certain aspects, especially the multi task of triggering player runs which with a bit of tweaking will make a brilliant feature.
There are so many things to like, the desperate attempts that the AI produces to block shots and the way the ball rebounds is a sight to behold, I really do love it.
This a country mile ahead of 11 IMO and for preview code it is very good, yes the keepers do make a few gaffs but I have seen 2 in six games but to balance this out I have also seen some superb animation with some one handed (scmeichal type) saves from close range.
If you have not yet sampled the demo and you liked PES 11 then you will absolutely love this.
Definate purchase!

It's better than 2011, that's about it sadly, still way too unresponsive, nowhere near the PS2 games.
Don't get me started on the team stats, AC Milan a complete all round A team but the Premier League winners and Champions League finalists a majority B team, come off it FFS.
I hope they amend the above in the second demo, and please change the team stats, they're ridiculous.
I'll play some more, see if it improves.
Edit: After having more matches, shooting isn't as bad as first thought and you can outsprint opposition players. Tackling and defending in general seems very difficult though, especially when faced with skillful players.
Also, goalkeepers need drastically improving.
WOW
Love the slower pace.
Very impressed.
E.A can fist it.
Where have they been for the last how many years, oh yes, I remember, the PC couldnt handle their "almighty FIFA". At least Konami did not give us the shaft.
Why do people moan about the team stats ffs - means very little, other than for playground bragging rights
Individually in each area, Milan probably have got the better players 'individually' compared to United. Zlatan, Robinho and Pato would all get into Uniteds team, vice versa just Rooney would touch the Milan lineup.
Whats the midfields like; top of my head - Seedorf, Rino, Pirlo? Old but still good technically and id assume the game represents that... United have Giggs who is similar, Fletcher who is not much kop and would look average in any other team. Carrick and Nani, decent but again as individuals not the best.
Defence? Vidic and Evra are top drawer, Rio probably has stats that reflects how injuries have worked him, Fabio is it on the other flank? Up and coming and again bags of potential. Milan... Abate id assume average, Thiago and Nesta solid enough but Nesta knocking on, and Zambrotta again old but still a solid full back.
Keepers - De Gea bags of potential but not there yet, not many keepers are peaking at his age so United have a lot to look forward to. Abbiati, good Italian keeper.
Now my lineups might be awry but thats from memory and although you might think im slagging off United im not. Infact as a team 'whole' id agree they deserve to be closer in ratings... however I believe both PES and FIFA do this and the stats are drawn from the individuals in each area, and given that Milan although with older players, they are likely to have better individual stats especially technically over the United equivalents.
Personally even though I have typed the above, I dont even look at players stats in this sort of game. In the main you can get a team to play how you want and I just pick players that id like to see playing or who im spiced into at the time. Like last night I did a few United games and in the main my midfield would be Park, Anderson, Carrick, Nani - with Sid and Rooney up front.
/waffled - but its a great game and for those struggling with the pace of it, you can tweak the game speed slider up by 2 notches if you want it to run a bit quicker. Oh and one of the best things is the ball, it really acts as its own entity in the game with the spin, rebounds etc... never ever looks like its being held into a pre-determined position or flight, unlike FIFA which to me always has this sort of 'AI' determination as to how the ball rebounds or falls to players etc
