Looking to upgrade my card today , i currently have a HD5770

Which card would be the best option 560, 560ti or 6950

i play games like the witcher 2 , upcomming game swtor, dirt 3, need for speed shift etc,

Although im reaching really good FPS like 200-300 in world of warcraft, 70+ in Rift
i have feeling thats due to the cpu and not so much the card , would i see a bigger increase with one of the above mentioned cards?

my current resolution is 1360/768

my specs are

Intel i5 2500k 3.30 @ 4.3 oc
Asus P8z68-V motherboard
Corsair water cooling h60
600 watt pSU
4 gig ram
windows 7 ultimate 64bit

ps i will be doing crossfire/Sli in the future since my board is capable of taking 3 cards but ill probs just have the two

Both will be a big upgrade from a 5770, but as you game at 1366x768 you do not really need such horsepower. However, if you really want one and you do not plan on upgrading your monitor soon, go for the 560 TI. It is cheaper, runs cooler & quieter, overclocks massively and will play everything on Max settings at your current resolution. The 6950 will be ~10% faster at stock speeds but you really will not notice the difference over a 560 TI.

Perhaps consider a GTX 460, standar 560, or a 6870 and save £50.

The motherboard may have 3 PCI-E x16 slots but with 2 graphics cards installed they run at x8, x8 and x1 speed.

You wouldn't be able to run 3 cards.

At the resolution you currently game at here's a bargain for you:

** CRAZY ASS ATI HD 6870 PRICE - £99.99 +VAT (£119.99 Inc. VAT)! ** (PRE-ORDER ONLY PRICE!)

would it be worth buying 2 of these and would 600 watt psu be sufficient?

if i had two installed crossfired and they was running at 8x each would that mean it would be lie running one card at x16?

Not at your resolution, unless you are planning on getting a new monitor in the not too distant future. I think a 600 watt PSU is the minimum for crossfire, so ideally I would want more than that.

ye i do plan on getting a half decent monitor . alhough i can run my current one in 1080p
but it is a tv and i think a monitor would look better with games

ok im thinking of buying a 560ti + monitor so then i can buy another 560ti in future

thinking of going 24"

looking to spend about 330 max any suggestions , i would prefer nvidia to ati as ive always had ati cards and have run into a few problems with them on some games usually driver related

I would get a 570 instead. 2 x 560 TI is not cost effective.
