I cannot watch any nature documentary if David Attenborough isnt narrating!

...
Fry does relatively well, but his voice, like his personality, has highs and lows, which can be offputting to some.
...

True. I watched Ocean's Giants the other day, he does go up and down *a lot*. Still very enjoyable though, I wouldn't be put off by any means.

There is a series called Wild China which is amazing and is narrated by a guy called Bernard Hill. The style and pace of the show is perfect and extremely relaxing.

Wild Russia, narrated by Paterson Joseph is also very good.

I'm a real fan of that Deadly 60 guy Steve Backshall... I think he's really good at what he does. But yeah - it will me a massive loss to all of us when DA is no longer presenting. Guy is a Legend.

AH yes, i have that on Blu-Ray, the next best thing after DA to be honest, he's the only one who can realistically take on the mantel

There is no doubt that David Attenborough is the best but I can still watch documentaries without him. Well, not those horrendous Amreican documentaries that seem like more recap than documentary. They begin with, in today's show you are going to see these [insert appropriate superlative here]... After that there's the recap before the break of what we've just seen followed by an ad break then another bloody recap in case we've forgotten already what happened in the one minute of actual showtime as a result of all the shiney things in the ads.

I hate them as well, normally you can tell within 5 minutes whether the documentary is going to be good or not.

The reason i love david attenborough is because u can tell he loves nature with all his heart. His passion is amazing! He deserves every single award/prize out there including the nobel peace prize

This may be going against the grain here, but I would lvoe to hear some narrations by Morgan Freeman. I'd put him up there with DA in listenability tbh.

He's done a couple on the odd occasion, and they have been awesome. Same timing and gravitas as Mr. Attenborough: makes the magic come alive.

He done one called The Universe or it might have been Through the wormhole, I cant remember but it was good.
