Ideas for fun things to do over the bank holiday?

As per the title really! Ideally around the Midlands, I can't seem to think of many things to do with the wife over the weekend! Did think of Alton Towers but that is going to be absolutely jam packed.

Willing to travel a fair bit, ideas peeps! :)
 
Go to Liverpool for the Beatles festival. Plenty of live music all around the city centre and good places to have a drink. Festival is Sat, Sun and Mon.
 
Treat her to a Spa Hotel somehere near to Leamington Spa beautiful around there you might want to also check if anything is on at Warwick Castle.
 
Done Warwick Castle, holy moly is that place seriously touristy these days! We're members at Champneys Springs so the spa thing would've been a great idea otherwise.

Looked at going to Dublin for the weekend but it's ridiculously expensive either by ferry or plane!

I thought it would be much easier to think of something!
 
If you want to get away somewhere different that's not as expensive as Dublin, you should check out the Edinburgh festival. Hundreds of great shows all over the city.
 
Take her to Prague or Krakow. Somewhere relatively cheap, different and fun.

Have fun whatever you decide to do.
