Yeah pc volume is fine when both are connected.

There's obviously a bit of conflict going on.

Perhaps if you try muting the PC's audio, or disabling it in device manager, the audio from the VM box will be OK with both connected.

No go on the mute business mate. I might have to concede defeat and just cable swap at times between pc and vm box. Thanks a lot for all the help till now mate i appreciate it.

Did you try disabling the PC's audio in Device Manager?
