£3000 petrol or diesel?

Epic reply is beyond epic :D

Didn't know you had that, but that is some great track shedding and must be a hoot being stripped out and clad with nice rubber!

£900 on rubber?

That's why when I put together a track day car it is going to be something that is happy to run on 195/50/15s

Yes, because someone who does Oil, filter, brake fluid, plugs and ATF every 6 months, coolant and 4 wheel alignment every 12 months and spends an hour thoroughly checking their car for leaks, damaged components and worn suspension bushings on a 2 poster ramp every 12 weeks at a maximum is a real ***** when it comes to maintenance.

What a waste of money. Why get a chuffy over the correct coolant then change it every 12 months

Change your coolant, plugs and brake fluid more inline with whats recommended and what they are engineered for and you'd be able to increase your tyre budget?

Stretching out my services slightly longer would not have made the £200 per corner difference in rubber more swallowable :).

But it would have saved you money, that is a fact! Changing oils, brake fluid and pads every 6 months is ridiculous unless you are are spending a significant amount of time on track.

I see the same thing from time to time on the DC2 forum. People changing everything every 3k miles or 6months as it's a 'high revving VTEC' and it's better to be safe. Armchair wannabe Engineers completely ignoring the service schedule researched, engineered and produced by the manufacturer.

I hear Wing Commander ROFL LOLing his tash off!

Oh that old shed I saw on the RR day is yours is it? :p

Afraid so :D
