Go for it, running sli 470's here at 1920x1200, very good gaming setup. If you can source the other card secondhand it always helps. Make sure the psu is upto the job as well.
True, luckily i picked both cards up for £259.00 in december last year. No issues with v-ram, but then i dont play any of the games youve listed.I don't recommend putting GTX470 into SLI, unless you can get it for a cheap price.

TBH. I'm really not that impressed with big daft plasma screens or how much things cost in total.
I've spent more than £2000 on a needle for my record player in the past. Been there. Got the shirt. Not big. Not clever.
