Which 6950?

unless I'm missing something doesn't afterburner have a voltage setting you can change? at least have read that you could change it with the 5850 twin frozr ii(have had 1 for the past several months but not ventured into ocing it with afterburner yet, just recently had a little play with the ccc overdrive to 750mhz clk left the mem at stock).

I've been reading a few reviews of the toxic all have been able to unlock the shaders(tho as you say sapphire may have sent them hand picked ones), I', tempted to order 2 for xfire so hope both unlock.

reviews for the different 6950 models(1gb and 2gb) so you can decide which to go for http://www.techpowerup.com/reviewdb/Graphics-Cards/ATI/HD-6950/

ya I wouldnt hold your breath with a unlock - over at newegg.com in the states it gets mixed results for a unlock (just from a small number or reviews).

but still prob be a good cooler if you were going to xfire considering it expires heat out the back

would lack of unlock be a good enough reson for asking for a refund? :)
prob under dsr tho thats only 7 days(7 working days right so not inc weekends).

err not sure I understood your question - but no a lack of unlock wouldnt be good enough for a refund - Im sure you could lie or there is always a return policy etc ...

my refund to newegg wasnt because of a unlock it was because the card wouldnt run crysis without crashing at 940 (rated speed) all the way down to 830 cpu core then I stopped testing and decided I needed to rma it before the 30 days was up.

again I wouldnt buy something hoping for it to unlock just buy it and if it does - great and if not oh well.

yeah I know the unlock isn't a reason ocuk would accept a rma, there is however a 7 days(as I said think its working days so not inc the weekends) distant selling regulation which allows you to return the item if you're not happy with it for a full refund(minus the return postage cost).

a person can hope right? :)

just about to place the order, mum will kill me but oh well :)
need a cpu upgrade now to make full use of the 6950s.

well finally placed the order but the price of the toxic has gone up by £5 in the last several hours, I had it in the basket a 6hrs ago but didn't finish the checkout. go to do it now find they've jacked up the price even after saying i was valid till they got stock in which according to the store page they haven't with the eta still saying 31/08, not happy but have placed the order so as to avoid any more sneak price increases.
