just got myself a 470 last week, now looking at the prices of refurb 480's im finsding it hard not to hit the buy button

will i be btter off for upcoming games on the 480 or is there not going to be much of a hit

gaming on a 32inch lcd at the moment and only 720p, it can accept 1080p signals though

Will be on the back of the unit. However If you're only running it @ 720p then the 470 will be perfectly adequate for a good while yet. If you're considering upgrading it soon to 1080p+ then it may be worth splashing the cash.

would love a 1080p 27 or 30 inch but my wallet says otherwise at the mo, i have a samsung 24 inch monitor @1080p but after using the larger screen the 24 feels small lol

What is it with people and 720p resolutions tonight :p

How could you possibly think gaming on your 32" TV @ 720p is better than on your 1080p monitor??

If it's not a full HD TV then it will only be 1366x768 pixels so there's no point in running games at any higher resolution than that.

Your GTX 470 is plenty for that resolution. There are only around half the number of pixels to process compared to 1920x1080.

i can notice the difference, i just rather the larger screen for playing racing games with my wheel, i suppose i could sell the tv and monitor and use the money towards a 1080p 27- 30 inch monitor :D
