I guess all the haters in this thread are just jealous they didn't achieve what steve jobs has in their lives, he has does more than you bunch of sad acts, who take pleasure in posting nasty comments about a man who is seriously ill
What he has achieved with Apple is simply amazing, the reason they are so successful is because they are great consumer products. So posters like Pixel come back when you have more money than the USA and then maybe you can comment about Apple products
I hope Steve gets better and I look forward to reading his biography

I haev more money than the USA, arent they like 90 Billion in debt? I'm only £1500 in debt.
In all seriousness, you wouldn't wish a long painfull death like his has been/will be on anyone. I'm not the biggest Apple fan, their products always remind me of those childrens learning toy laptops etc with the big plastic buttons and which dont actually do anything.
But as others have said he has kept alive and pushed along an industry which was dangerously in trouble of become a 1-horse show (Microsoft) and whilst perhaps not the most innovative of companies, Apple has shown an uncanny nack of looking out into the marketplace, finding what isn't quite selling as well as it could if done right, and basically doing it right.
Finally Job's humanitarian donations etc should also not be overlooked, the like of him and Bill Gates are two shining examples of people giving back essentially what could never need, there are many other rich people on this planet who dont come close to donating at all, what these to do consistently year on year.

In all honesty I hope they did pull strings to get him a liver - yes he is worth more than Bob from Mississippi.
Steve jobs is nowhere near Steve Wozniak (the ACTUAL founder and revolutionary in computer engineering, he created the apple 1 and 2), who is much more precious to the industry than a glorifying advertiser for a company that no doubt cares more about him being sick simply because it ruins the stock numbers.

Woz was/is an engineer. Not a salesman. Woz created, Jobs sold the products. Woz hasn't got a single salesman bone in his body. It was the perfect partnership. Like Bill Gates and Paul Allen. Allen was the salesman.
This "which steve is your favourite" bull**** is ridiculous.
Might be the case, but its the exact problem with society today that glorifies the image rather than the content/mind.
Its also the society that continues to ruin political systems (the US mostly), the right man/woman is turned down by the public because they aren't loud enough (Ron Paul is a perfectly fine candidate, ignored).
But whatever, the few will continue to move civilisation forward and be ignored at the time by the vast hordes of morons, Steve jobs wont be remembered in history, but Wozniak will.

Both will be remembered. The man who created Apple and the man who took it forward. If you can't see that you're an idiot. Yes Woz did lots of great things with his engineering. But if it had been left up to him, it would still be in kit form, people would have to solder everything themselves and nobody would have made any money and Apple (and Woz) would have gone the way of so many other companies selling kit computers at the time.
