Question to Crosshair V Formula owners

At the moment i have the standard 24pin atx and 8pin atx cables plugged in but theres also another 4 pin atx socket, when is this needed as the instruction book is kind of sketchey on this.
Any info is appreciated

the extra 4 pin is only for extreme overclocking.

i read somewhere the extra 4 pin is for BD cpus to help ocing

Yeah that might be the case for the 8 cores if they are 200W beasts, infact it might be needed at stock.
