My daughter's first England goal!

Well done! You must be over the moon.

It reminds me of a friend of mine. His daughter is an England rugby international. He is a proud Welshman so I get great comfort in him having to cheer on England when his daughter plays.

Congratulations OP and OP's daughter!

And she was more lucid than most professional footballers in the post-match interview.

you better sit her down and drill into her that she is now going to win every tournament ever, and in fact it is her right as an english player to do that - the england team is always better than any other they come up against, and no players from the other team would even make it into the england squad :)

Nice skills, shielded the ball well and kept nice tight control and a good finish, keeper looked a glove short of a full pair though!

At the end of the day, the gal done great Ron!:D

Girls football is the main version of football as it is a girls game. Men play things with a bit more contact, not running around a field avoiding being touched and kicking a ball away.

There is always contact in football, and it can be very dangerous actually. I don't play professionally but even I've had a leg broken from a bad tackle. I also currently have this on my shin, and this was just from training:

Just look at the WPL or whatever the FA have invented for them. Awful standard of games, played infront of a few hundred fans who are only there for family/friends in the main.

That could equally describe the Womens Premier League or the Welsh Premier League! :D

Congrats

But girls football is pap and meaningless, but its good for them to get their own way and let them think it has some relevance.

Take it you didn't watch the womens world cup then, which was ossom.
